Thanks to its Italian origin, the "rough* leather is as soft as velvet and as light as silk. It deserves to be called suede. The vintage attribute refers to additional refinement through careful washing. This procedure ensures that the colors and shape remain stable. With the 'Light Vintage Suede Overshirt' in an unconstructed design, WEBER+WEBER presents a flexible and just as pleasantly light alternative to the classic leather jacket.

How does an animal skin become as soft as velvet and as light as silk? A traditional procedure is still used in small, fine manufactories. First, the animal skin is cleaned in the soaking room. After cleaning, sweating is on the agenda. Effect: The top layer of skin dissolves. Skin residues are removed with a knife on the tanning tree. Now the smoothed hide is ready to be tanned and dyed. Using a pumice stone, which volcanoes spit out, the surface is carefully roughened until it is as soft to the touch as velvet and remains breathable.
